We took over an old hardware shop in 2021 and kept most of it. the tiled floor, the back wall, and the light that comes through the front at about seven.
It's a small room and it gets loud in a good way. Come for two courses on a Wednesday or settle in properly on a Saturday. Both are entirely acceptable.
The hake was the best thing I have eaten this year, and I say that having eaten a great deal this year.
Went for a quick bite and stayed three hours. Nobody rushed us, nobody hovered. The staff clearly like working there, which you can always tell.
Small menu, which I always take as a good sign, and everything on it was properly considered. The chips alone are worth the walk.
